The new high-efficiency hot water heat pump has an integrated ventilation unit that uses the residual heat from the living space air to heat the water with the heat pump. The user has the option of using three fan speeds (minimum ventilation, normal ventilation and intensive ventilation, 0–400 m³/h). The air flow rate for water heating is 150 m³/h. The new, environmentally friendly generation of hot water heat pump ED 180 WL operates with the highly efficient natural refrigerant R290 (propane). The technology is based on components that have already proven their effectiveness millions of times in luxury refrigeration equipment. The result is high thermal performance with minimal energy consumption (392 watts). In addition, the refrigerant propane is environmentally neutral and has a global warming potential of only 3 (GWP = 3). Highly efficient CFC-free insulation and a standard stainless steel storage tank are used. With a net storage volume of 166 l, the ED180 WL hot water heat pump is ideal for decentralized water heating in apartments, private houses and, thanks to its compact design, can be placed in kitchen cabinets.
