Why Did MyFitness Choose Infrared Heating for Hot Studio Classes?

In recent years, Hot Yoga, Hot Pilates, and other high-temperature group workouts have become increasingly popular in Latvia as well.

That is exactly why the fitness club MyFitness has opened its second Hot Studio group training hall in Riga, at Galerija Rīga (Dzirnavu Street 67), choosing Sundirect infrared heating for spaces with elevated temperature requirements.

The project includes the installation of 32 black IC-900 Plus infrared panel heaters, providing a stable temperature of approximately 38°C for intensive workout sessions.

Why Is Stable Heating Important in Hot Studio Spaces?

In Hot Yoga and similar classes, the following factors are especially important:

🟧✓ stable temperature

🟧✓ even heat distribution

🟧✓ comfortable warmth sensation

🟧✓ stable indoor climate during intensive workouts

In such spaces, traditional convection heating systems often create:

❌ uneven temperatures

❌ excessive air movement

❌ hot and cold zones

❌ slower room response to temperature changes

That is why infrared heating is becoming increasingly popular in sports and wellness environments.

How Does Infrared Heating Work?

Unlike traditional heating systems, infrared heaters primarily heat:

🟧✓ people

🟧✓ floors

🟧✓ walls

🟧✓ surfaces

🟧✓ objects within the room

rather than only heating the air.

This helps provide:

🟧✓ a more comfortable warmth sensation

🟧✓ more even temperature distribution

🟧✓ more efficient energy use

🟧✓ reduced air circulation

🟧✓ a more stable indoor climate

These factors are especially important for Hot Studio–type training environments.

Comfort During Intensive Workouts

In sports and wellness spaces, it is not only the temperature shown on a thermometer that matters.

What matters most is:

  • the actual human perception of warmth.

Infrared heating helps create a more natural and comfortable warmth sensation because heat is radiated similarly to sunlight or warm surfaces.

This is especially important for:

🟧✓ Hot Yoga

🟧✓ Pilates

🟧✓ stretching classes

🟧✓ mobility training

🟧✓ functional workouts

where comfort and consistent warmth significantly influence the overall training experience.

Technical Solutions Used in the Project

The project uses 32 black Sundirect IC-900 Plus infrared panel heaters integrated into the ceiling structure, preserving the studio’s modern and minimalist interior design.

For system control, 4 SMART2.0 Pro thermostats were installed, ensuring precise temperature management and stable system operation under intensive usage conditions.

The system was designed to provide:

🟧✓ stable ~38°C temperature

🟧✓ even heat distribution throughout the entire room

🟧✓ comfortable warmth during intensive classes

🟧✓ efficient electricity usage

🟧✓ stable long-term operation under continuous load

Unlike traditional air-heating systems, infrared heating significantly reduces:

❌ uneven temperature distribution

❌ excessive air circulation

❌ localized cold and hot air zones

This is especially important in Hot Studio spaces, where comfort depends not only on air temperature, but also on the interaction between heated surfaces, the human body, and infrared radiant heat.

The IC-900 Plus panels used in the project provide:

🟧✓ fast system response

🟧✓ stable temperature maintenance

🟧✓ silent operation without fans

🟧✓ aesthetic integration into modern interiors

🟧✓ minimal maintenance requirements

These are exactly the reasons why infrared heating is increasingly used in premium sports, wellness, and commercial spaces across.

A Repeated Project as Proof of Quality

The fact that MyFitness chose the Sundirect solution for its second Hot Studio project is an important confirmation of quality and reliability.

This second project confirms not only the quality and reliability of Sundirect infrared heaters, but also the growing demand for Hot Studio classes and customer interest in this type of training environment.

Why Is Infrared Heating Becoming Popular in Sports and Wellness Spaces?

Today, infrared heating is increasingly used in:

🟧✓ fitness clubs

🟧✓ wellness centers

🟧✓ yoga studios

🟧✓ offices

🟧✓ commercial spaces

🟧✓ premium residential properties
